HomeFront Staff

Sean C. O'Brien, Executive Director, AmeriCares HomeFront, Inc.
Sean has been involved with AmeriCares since 1997, starting out as a HomeFront volunteer. He is responsible for the overall quality of the program in every respect. Prior to being named Executive Director, Sean served as the program's Deputy Director for many years. Before joining AmeriCares, he worked for the Advisory Board Company in Washington, DC. Sean received his Bachelor's degree in English from Georgetown University.

Kris deFriesse, Operations Director
Kris had 10 years of volunteer leadership experience as a House Captain on a HomeFront team prior to coming on board as a member of the staff. That, coupled with his expertise in material management and his general construction knowledge, are major assets that make Kris a valuable member of the team. He oversees all aspects of the HomeFront warehouse operation which can include team project orders; inventory control, packing and shipping, and home evaluations.

Fletcher Watton, Resource Manager
With more than 10 years of program experience as a District Captain and House Captain, in addition to 30 years in construction as a builder, Fletcher knows, firsthand, the satisfaction of volunteering for HomeFront as a skilled professional. Currently working on staff as HomeFront Resource Manager, Fletcher serves as the main liaison with skilled individuals, always looking for opportunities that suit their interests and availability while making it possible for them to really make a difference. The vital impact of donated materials and services is also a focal point for Fletcher.

Melissa Gotell, Community Relations Manager

Melissa is focused on forging partnerships with all segments of the community. With her extensive background in the field of human services, Melissa brings firsthand experience and a passion for assisting those in need.  Her areas of concentration for the HomeFront program include volunteer team information, media relations and promotion of HomeFront's mission.

Liz Sheridan, Administrative Manager

Liz's years of working as the AmeriCares Receptionist/Administrative Assistant and Travel Coordinator suits her well to the role of fielding questions from homeowners in need. She also serves as a primary liaison with team leaders and as the organizer of office volunteer activities. In particular, Liz handles the pre-screening process when homeowners call in to headquarters with eligibility questions.  Liz also has extensive experience with many software applications which is a great asset for the role that she plays in ensuring the integrity of HomeFront's most important data.
